Matthew 28:18-20 provides the confidence, organizing strategy, sense of calling, and unifying theme for my work: "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I command you; and lo I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Jesus' evangelistic calling includes both evangelism to unbelievers and the training of current believers with the goal that they become responsible and productive Christians who are resilient to the temptations of sin and agressive in carrying out the redemptive work of God. My calling is to contribute as best I can to God's development of Christ-like disciples who minister his love to a world in need.
